Sarah grew up in a small beach town in California where she loved to dive into the ocean, rollerskate through the town, dance in her livingroom, and fling a puck with her hockeystick. Always in joyful practice with her body, she felt at home in gyms, on dance floors, and in swimming pools.

After getting her Bachelor's in Music Composition, Sarah then was coerced by a student of dance to try Pilates. Immediately, she was convinced of its power to deepen one's relationship to one's body. She decided to study Pilates, and to make it her life's work. She used her knowledge of Pilates to recover from pregnancy, and from her emergency c-section.

She has great compassion for all bodies in all walks of life. She is drawn to postnatal and prenatal work, work with older populations with special needs, and to people who just want to shine brighter from the inside out, and are looking for inspiration through committing to the work. She believes that teaching Pilates is her way of empowering people to heal and to be more confident in themselves.

Since March 2020, Sarah has been working over Zoom, reaching students all across the country - to keep them strong, upbeat, and healthy during this trying time. As a result, she has grown to be quite skilled at virtual instruction, but of course, is looking forward to seeing her students, face to face.
